I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and [with] fire:

And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.

But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth [it;] which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.

And in the morning, [It will be] foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O [ye] hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not [discern] the signs of the times?
And they said, Some [say that thou art] John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.

And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but [it shall be given to them] for whom it is prepared of my Father.

And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another.

But they made light of [it,] and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:
Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead [men's] bones, and of all uncleanness.

Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.

Truly ye bear witness that ye allow the deeds of your fathers: for they indeed killed them, and ye build their sepulchres.

And if it bear fruit, [well:] and if not, [then] after that thou shalt cut it down.

And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.

And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.
And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.

they were at peace
And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, He is a good man: others said, Nay; but he deceiveth the people.
And many resorted unto him, and said, John did no miracle: but all things that John spake of this man were true.
When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was.

he is strengthless
Of sin, because they believe not on me;
And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.

They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did.

Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with him.

When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.

Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them [is] manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny [it. ]
Saying, The prison truly found we shut with all safety, and the keepers standing without before the doors: but when we had opened, we found no man within.

And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.

Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.

And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker.
And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren.

And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

And when Paul was now about to open [his] mouth, Gallio said unto the Jews, If it were a matter of wrong or wicked lewdness, O [ye] Jews, reason would that I should bear with you:

But Paul said, I am a man [which am] a Jew of Tarsus, [a city] in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city: and, I beseech thee, suffer me to speak unto the people.
I am verily a man [which am] a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, [and] taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye all are this day.

And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me.
For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, neither angel, nor spirit: but the Pharisees confess both.
So he took him, and brought [him] to the chief captain, and said, Paul the prisoner called me unto [him,] and prayed me to bring this young man unto thee, who hath something to say unto thee.

For if I be an offender, or have committed any thing worthy of death, I refuse not to die: but if there be none of these things whereof these accuse me, no man may deliver me unto them. I appeal unto Caesar.

My manner of life from my youth, which was at the first among mine own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews;
I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.
But after long abstinence Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and said, Sirs, ye should have hearkened unto me, and not have loosed from Crete, and to have gained this harm and loss.
And falling into a place where two seas met, they ran the ship aground; and the forepart stuck fast, and remained unmoveable, but the hinder part was broken with the violence of the waves.

And the rest, some on boards, and some on [broken pieces] of the ship. And so it came to pass, that they escaped all safe to land.

But we desire to hear of thee what thou thinkest: for as concerning this sect, we know that every where it is spoken against.

First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
