So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James [the son] of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas [the brother] of James.

And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed [them] to prison.

But their laying await was known of Saul. And they watched the gates day and night to kill him.

A devout [man,] and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.
And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.

And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.
Immediately therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well done that thou art come. Now therefore are we all here present before God, to hear all things that are commanded thee of God.

And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison.

And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast [them] into prison, charging the jailer to keep them safely:

And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming [thither] went into the synagogue of the Jews.

And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto [them,] and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.

And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:
So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.
