There's something about the time line
— Time is a palindrome —
🔼Palindromes
A palindrome is a word or phrase that reads the same way from left to right as from right to left. Words like radar and redivider are palindromes. 'A nut for a jar of tuna,' is a palindrome (try it). Certain brilliant musical pieces are palindromic; Mozart wrote a few. And numbers can be palindromic too. Take 666 for instance; a palindrome. And the prime number 1661 is also a palindrome. It's called the First Beastly Prime, for obvious reasons. The next Beastly Prime is 1000000000000066600000000000001; also a palindrome.
Palindromes that consist of an uneven number of elements have a hinge-point in the middle: ABC-D-CBA hinges around the D. Palindromes that have an even number of elements have no such hinge.
Time appears to not only be palindromic; it hinges around the year zero.
Large-scale people movements never happen suddenly. There's always a string (or rather, a cloud) of events preceding any major event in human history. These major events have to be cooked up: regions become unstable long before a war breaks out. Or peoples must first swing through a few dark ages before their coveting betterment generates a renaissance.
The event generally known as the Second Coming of Christ is predicted to come upon us 'like a thief in the night' but also to be heralded by obvious signs, much like every sudden sunrise is presaged by the turning orange of the horizon. The Second Coming is going to be the most profound phase in human development since its origination, and the result can hardly be imagined. Jesus likens this event to the happenings in the days of Noah, and according to some models, the Noahic flood denotes the breaching of animal and human mental symmetry (read the article).
Since both emergences of the Christ on the earthly arena are meticulously timed, and planned according to the readiness of mankind to receive Him — first as a man among many men, then as King over all, but essentially the same Person — the First and Second Comings are preceded by levels of human development that are highly self-similar ( read the article).
But a closer look at the time line reveals more than one symmetry. Like a snowflake, the time line seems to have multiple symmetric axes.
🔼The Time Line as a palindrome
Picture the time line not as a river running from past to future but as a canal of nearly stagnant water, the Golgotha-event in the middle of it, and we cast a brick in the water were the calendar says 'Christ'. So doing, we see a two-fold wave depart from Golgotha and roll up and down the time line, simultaneously passing the same years before and after Christ. Note that recorded history appears to go through cycles of 500 years, which seems to coincide with the legend of the Phoenix, which, according to Herodotus died and rose every 500 years (Herodotus Histories ii.73).
0 — 500 BC/AD
• Alexander the Great (356-323),
• Socrates (469-399),
• Pericles (c.495-429),
• Buddha Gautama (5th century),
• Confucius (551-479).
• In India, Vedic religion transits to classical Hinduism.
• Constantine the Great (c.274-337),
• First Council of Nicaea (325),
• St. Augustine of Hippo (354-430).
The first few centuries BC are noted for the absence of divine revelation. The era from Christ down to Nehemiah is known as the Great Silence, spanning roughly four centuries.
The AD-wave crosses a similar period. Christianity is predominantly underground until in the fourth century emperor Constantine converts and forms Christianity to be the state-religion of the Roman Empire.
BC, in Greece some of the brightest men of all time instigate a completely new way of thinking. Democracy is invented, so is algebra, and Alexander of Macedonia is given the wings to sweep across the known world and standardize it to deep personal discipline, organization and national supremacy sprouting from its grounds.
The AD-wave covers a similar period of construction as the church fathers compose the doctrinal and confessional library upon which contemporary Christianity is founded.
500-1000 BC/AD
• Zoroaster (c.628-c.551).
• Sometime during the 8th to the 9th century Homer writes, and during the 5th century BC the Greek philosophy soars, firmly grounded in Homeric imagery. Later, Paul directs his message towards this philosophy's openness to an unknown God and the willingness of the Greek to learn new things.
• David reigns from 1011 to 971 BC
• King Arthur and friends go after the Grail (5th or 6th-century). The twelve knights and the sword Excalibur wrought in stone are obvious Christian images.
• Mohammed (570-632 AD) writes the Quran.
The waves roll on and reach the eras of one thousand years BC and AD.
Jerusalem becomes the focal point. David takes the city over from the Jebusites and establishes the eternal dynasty of which Christ is the final King.
Jerusalem becomes the capital of the unprecedented and unsurpassed Solomonic empire, and a little while later Homer writes the Odyssey and the Iliad.
The AD-wave sees similar things happen as the crusaders march on to Jerusalem and fight over its rule. Europe begins to emerge from the dark ages, inflated by a re-appreciation of the Hellenic themes of Homer.
1000-1500 BC/AD
• The source texts of the Pentateuch are composed approximately during the 15th century BC, along with some of the most profound Egyptian and Mesopotamian literature.
• A little later the Vedas begins to emerge, with its climax during the times the New Testament was written.
• In 1095 AD the first crusade against the Turks is launched. In 1099 Jerusalem is conquered, and the Kingdom of Jerusalem is established. The city is lost not long after that and a series of repeated crusades follow. In 1204 AD Constantinople is sacked to fuel the fourth crusade, which marks the definite halt of the Age of the Empires, which began in the peak of the Egyptian Empire during the same time BC.
In the fifteenth century BC Moses leads the Israelites out of Egypt and writes the most intelligent and complex work of literary art ever produced. It contains insights in psychology, sociology and statesmanship that were not met until many centuries after, if they ever were.
During the 15th century AD another incredible surge of revelation shudders the earth. The Renaissance is at full swing; the period of Enlightenment commences, the need for the Scientific Method settles in the minds of men. Incredible intellectual achievements overthrow beliefs that have enmeshed the people for millennia.
Galileo realizes the true nature of the solar system. Luther realizes the true nature of God's grace, and ushers in the era of Protestantism and emphasizes salvation through grace instead of works, as well as man's personal and free relationship with the Creator instead of through esoteric rituals and an inaugurated clerical clan.
Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci produce works that will not be reinvented for centuries to come. Columbus sets sail in the wrong direction and triples the span of European lands.
1500 — 2000 BC/AD
Another five centuries away from Golgotha we meet Abraham BC and the resurrection of the Standard Model AD. God tells Abraham that his blessing will be for all the families of the earth. That in itself is a highly unusual statement because in those days there was no global awareness. Nobody knew how big the earth was, and nobody concentrated on families outside their realm.
In the twentieth century AD we see similar, highly unusual developments go almost directly against human nature. Global trade protocols and treaties are agreed upon. Warsaw Pact, NATO, UN, United Europe, global tourism, the Internet. Even literature and movies begin to display clear traces of global consciousness.
The establishment of the Standard Model of Elementary Particles during the twentieth century is called the greatest achievement of the modern age. It appears to be highly similar to the family of Abraham, whose progeny was to be like the dust of the earth (read the article).
beyond 2000 BC/AD
As we watch the AD-wave roll over our heads into the path-integral of possible futures, the BC-wave enters into an era where normal, post-Abraham cause and effect have no meaning. We see great turmoil and chaos as the wave rolls backward over the projected rubble of the Tower of Babel, and global unity as the tower is being built by the unified bricks of human effort.
Rolling further backwards the BC-wave covers an era of global calm, while the AD-wave sees a coinciding era of global restoration and unification. And when the BC-wave finally reaches the flood of Noah, the AD-wave reaches the Second Coming of Christ.
🔼Another symmetrical system
In another symmetry system that occurs in Scriptures, Daniel speaks of 2,300 evenings and mornings until the restoration. If we relate the times preceding the First Coming to the daily motion of the sun, and the times preceding the Second Coming to the yearly motion of the sun, we should see some hints of restoration 2,300 years after Alexander, which is approximately the 20th century.
All things considered we should see some clear premonitions pertaining to the Second Coming most likely somewhere in the window between the years 1900 and 2100. This may explain the incredible growth of wealth, health and security during the second half of the twentieth century, but also the great terrors that marked this awesome age.
