🔼The name Ludim in the Bible
The people called Ludim descend from Mizraim, son of Ham, the youngest son of Noah (Genesis 10:13, spelled לודיים, Ludiyim in 1 Chronicles 1:11). But the only person named Lud is a son of Shem, the oldest son of Noah (Genesis 10:22). It appears that the only Lud in the Bible and the only Ludim in the Bible have nothing to do with each other; i.e. the Ludim stem from some other, otherwise unmentioned Lud.
