🔼The name Jebus in the Bible
The name Jebus does not occur as a personal name in the Bible, at least not directly. One of the nicknames of Jerusalem is Jebus (Judges 19:10, 1 Chronicles 11:4), and the Jebusites are listed among the nations descending from Canaan, one of the sons of Ham, who is the youngest son of Noah (Genesis 10:16). It's not clear whether the Jebusites were ethnically diverse or whether they were a coherent clan descending of one ancestral Jebus.
