The name Bariah occurs only one time in the Bible. He is mentioned in 1 Chronicles 3:22 as part of a very confusing genealogy. It appears that Bariah is a son or rather grandson of Shecaniah (one of six, says the text, but only five are mentioned) and all this at the end of the genealogy of Solomon and David, but smack in between two different genealogies of Judah, the son of Jacob.
